Unexpected Song: You'll Never Walk Alone

You'll Never Walk Alone is probably one of the most beautiful musical pieces ever written for the theater. It brings such a poetic message "You are never alone! And no matter how much you might think you are you won't be. Someone will always be there for you" The number is also very simple melody wise it doesn't have these crazy riffs or notes, which I think makes it all the more beautiful because of it's simplicity. Rodgers & Hammerstein wrote this song for Carousel it is sung in the second act by Nettie Fowler to help comfort Julie Jordan.

Audra McDonald- She portrayed the role of Carrie Pipperidge in the 1994 revival of Carousel the show that she won her first tony award for.

Bernadette Peters- Sang this song on her studio album Bernadette Peters Loves Rogers & Hammerstein and she sings it beautifully.

Judy Garland- Recorded this song for her album Judy in London which was recorded at her concert Judy in London.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir- From their album Showtime! Music of Broadway and Hollywood

Voices of Liberty- An amazing group of singers at Epcot in Disney World and they made an absolutely beautiful acapella version of this song.
