Unexpected Song: Don't Cry For Me Argentina

We all know that Andrew Llyod Webber only writes his scores to try and murder his leading women, but he does have some beautiful songs under his name and this is one of them. Don't Cry For Me Argentina is in the second act of the musical Evita and is sung by Eva Peron. It is perhaps the most well known song from this show.

Elaine Paige: Original London Eva

Lea Salonga: Performed this at her Broadway Concert (She would have made an amazing Eva)

Madonna: Eva Peron in the 1996 film adaption. I actually liked her performance in this role, her voice could have used some work but she was not terrible. You should see who some of the other choices are*

Nicole Scherzinger: She performed this song at "Andrew Lloyd Webber: 40 Musical Years" and I just have one thing to say "When is this coming to Broadway?" She was truly amazing in this performance. I never expected anything like it.

Patti LuPone: Original Broadway Eva (Fun Fact: She hated her experience in Evita)

*Barbra Streisand (What? Just what?), Liza Minelli (I don't see it), Charo (Cuchi-cuchi, yes that Charo), Cher (I kind of see it), Olivia Newton-John (Why would you choose an Australian with the thickest Australian accent?), Michelle Pfeiffer (I don't see this either)
